A bridge between disciplines

Modern neuroscience. Ancient clinical intelligence.

Dr. Ayla Wolf is a doctor of acupuncture and Oriental medicine and a licensed acupuncturist with a background in applied clinical neuroscience and functional neurology. Her clinical work has focused on complex neurological presentations, including post-concussion syndrome, traumatic brain injury, migraine, vertigo, stroke, and autonomic dysfunction.

As an educator, she helps practitioners connect what they observe at the bedside with the physiology of the nervous system—then translate those findings into precise, individualized treatment strategies grounded in East Asian medicine.

Dr. Wolf is faculty with the Carrick Institute, host of Life After Impact: The Concussion Recovery Podcast, and author of The Concussion Breakthrough and The Art of Concussion Recovery.

Teaching philosophy

Precision without losing the whole person.

The goal is not to replace East Asian medicine with neurology. It is to build a wider, more precise lens for understanding the person in front of you.

01

Observe before assuming

Careful history and functional examination reveal patterns that symptom labels alone can miss.

02

Connect systems

The brain, autonomic nervous system, immune system, sensory maps, and metabolism never work in isolation.

03

Make knowledge usable

Complex science matters only when it improves clinical reasoning, communication, and patient care.
