Lecture: The Neurophysiology of Pc 6

Description

This course covers the neurophysiology of Pericardium 6 for pain, nausea, heart rate, blood pressure, and coma. Discussion includes:

• the unique mechanisms of action of Pc 6 on the endocannabinoid system for pain management
• the effects of Pc 6 on the hypothalamus, insular cortex, and cerebellum for reducing nausea
• the effects of PC 6 on the ascending reticular formation for comas 
• disorders of consciousness and dissociative disorders
• the connection between Pc 6 and the default mode network

This course is approved for 1.5 NCCAOM PDA continuing education credits.
